The model DT-2239A is a microprocessor circuit design, high accuracy, digital readout, light duty STROBOSCOPE / TACHOMETER that is ideal for inspecting and measuring the speed of moving gears, fans, centrifuges, pumps, motors and other equipment used in general industrial maintenance, production, quality control, laboratories and as well as for schools and colleges for demonstrating strobe action.
Series DT-311& 315N stroboscopes can either be hand-operated or mounted on a tripod, and can be used to observe fast repeated motions as well as to determine RPM or rate of machinery components. Not only continuous motions of materials, but also processes, which are normally impossible to observe due to their high rate, can be visualized.
The turning or oscillating machine part can be visualized as a stopmotion picture by adjusting the light flashes synchronously to the rate of the movement. With the multiplier/divider function, it is able to determine the actual RPM or frequency of the motion accurately. The phase shift function enables slow-motion effects and visual positioning of the observed component.
The instrument can be triggered by means of an external sensor (power supply for the sensor is provided by the stroboscope). The flashes can be delayed either in time or rotation angle.
This battery operated portable digital Stroboscope is ideal for general purpose applications, it is lightweight, internally battery powered by NiMH rechargable batteries. The high flash power of 800 Lux provides more than adequate light output for many applications.
Digital Flash Control provides accurate and simple yet highly stable, repeatable flash rate setting.
External Trigger feature allows automatic triggering from a 5v external pulse input, nominally 7vdc supply is available for Sensor power.
A universal AC power charger is supplied, 100 - 240VAC with clip on mains connection adaptor set to suit most Countries around the world. Charge rate from fast rate trickle charge is automatically controlled and LED indication of charge mode is standard.
